Tuesday Blues

It's only Tuesday, but I feel like this week has been SO long already!

The good news is, after work Marc and I went to Extreme Pita and got a delicious dinner, since we are almost out of groceries. We barely got anything on payday before going on vacation and we really need to restock the kitchen tomorrow night after work. 

We decided to go on a pretty strict budget after vacation, but managed to justify going to grab take out because we used my winnings from the eliminator challenge fantasy football pool at work. Last year, I played and was eliminated the first week! I made it all the way to week 10, and there were only four of us left. We all picked the Titans, so we all lost/won. The four of us split the $110 pot, so I had a little bit of free money. It was totally worth using part of it for a falafel pita.

Other than that, it was a pretty normal work day. I'm struggling a little to keep up with the ridiculous workload that I scheduled myself for this week, but that always happens right before and right after vacations, and I'm in the middle of two weeks and two days between vacations. We came home with our pitas and got caught up on Masterchef Junior and watched some Gossip Girl. 

I found a YouTube video today of a commercial that we watched about 100,000 times while we were in Italy because it played about every 30 seconds at every train station we visited. I couldn't get the song out of my head for weeks, so I'll just leave it here with you:

NaNoWriMo Day 1: I CHEATED

I worked 55 and a half hours this week.  I'm so tired.  Regardless of THAT, though, I knew that I wanted to come home and start NaNoWriMo (for those of you unfamiliar, NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month... you write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November... about 1,667 words a day!).  I'm crazy. I'm also doing NaBloPoMo... I think that's what it's called. National Blog Posting Month? Anyways, so that's a little more simple. All I have to do is at least post a blog post a day. Project: 100 Books in 2013

At the end of 2011, I made a resolution that nearly everybody makes: I wanted to get healthy, get in shape, and most importantly, feel more comfortable in my body. More than 60 pounds later, I consider my New Year's resolution from last year to be a smashing success. I feel fantastic and have plans to continue getting healthier and happier. Since I was able to stick to my resolution last year, I am overflowing with ideas (and confidence) to continue to improve my life overall in 2013. One of the things that I really want to work on is making time to do things that I enjoy. I've fallen into a pattern lately of getting up, rushing off to work, working hard and long and then coming home, mentally drained to watch TV and play on my phone until I fall asleep after a few short hours and then repeating the process. Panic Stress Dreams. So, that's fun.

I'm really hoping that my three week vacation is ridiculously restful and relaxed and completely stressed free. That is, if the stress of getting ready to be gone for three weeks doesn't kill me before I make it to my vacation. Our plan for Friday is to leave work at noon and be out of the house, on the way to the airport around 12:30 p.m. I woke up this morning in a panic after dreaming that we were leaving work to run home and get our luggage on Friday at 1:07 p.m. To add to my anxiety, I was leaving work without finishing everything that I needed to do before I left (a big concern for me in real life over the past few weeks). So, in dream life, I get home to find that I haven't packed! Now, in real life, I have lists and packing systems and everything is going to be super organized and packed (tonight) as soon as all the laundry is done.
